Upper Peninsula Gun Season Reports
#21

Hey, I have a cabin near Escanaba and we hunted very hard this year. The deer numbers were awfully down. We keep a log of every day of our hunting year. I don't want anyone to take this the wrong way because we do see alot of deer, but this year just didntsee as much. The funny thing is, all of us got 2 bucks and some nice ones at that!
This is this years log: 2005 Gun Season - 3 Person Party
27 Bucks
57 Does
9 ???
Animals Shot: Three 8 points, Two 7 points, One 5 point.
Last years log: 2004 Gun Season - 3 Person Party
49 Bucks
504 Does
11 ???
Animals shot: Three 8 points, One 7 point.
A big difference in deer but better deer killed in this season. The QDM is paying off for us!

Here is the buck i got with the muzzle loader on sat dec 3, he's not the biggest buck but im happy with him....He came in to the apple orchard i was hunting with only a few minutes of shooting light left, hestepped out of the pines at about 50 yards and i squeezed one off, he ran about 125yards and piled up.

Finner,
I did not get up there this year, but my brothers said they saw alot of deer. The youngest brother sawwas two eights hanging around during the muzzleloader season. He did not have a tag left, but got some good photos. Congrats again on you deer.
