Is there any Ohio hog hunting?

If so, what counties? Are there any hogs to be found on public land anywhere?

My understanding is it is wide open to anyone, anywhere with anything. However, I have never seen one, seen sign or talked to anyone who has seen one. Thankfully they are under control in Ohio. I know there are some outfitters that have fenced hog hunts in Ohio though.

I was just talking to a friend down in Vinton county and he claim there is a group of hogs running the Lake Hope area. He said he has heard of one getting hit by a car and another being shot. He claims they arent feral hogs but real razorbacks. But this is all just rumors.

RE: Is there any Ohio hog hunting?

There are a few in Southern Ohio as I know a friend that killed several over the years.

His sightings have went way down and I don't know if there is still a herd (is that the right term?) in his area.

Hopefully, we can keep them out.
