Illinois shotgun tags?
Has anyone recieved their shotgun tag yet? I've been issued a # but said mailed approx. 3 weeks from 7-18.
Probably nothing to worry about but, with Illinois who can tell. |

Nope. I think they mail them out alphabeticallyand W is at the back of the alphabet.

My dad got his over a week ago, and our last name starts with a Z.

Brino - All 6 of our party got theirs same day week before last I think. Last names?
C, P, B, B, O, O I wouldn't worry tto much, it's the state of IL. We can't even get material for our hunter safety education classes most of the time. I make copies and pay out of my pocket. Someone over at the permit office is probobly counting the $ from the piggy bank so they can run to the post office for stamps. LOL If your shotgunning down south in Johnson, we should try to hook up and maybe have a steak at the Chuck Wagon in Cypress. I should be tagged out by Friday evening first season, that will open my schedule pretty good. |

I got mine about 4 days ago and I'm at the end of the alphabet. But my friend still hasn't gotten his and he is at the end of the alphabet too.

Wolf, if you were supposed to receive an either sex tag, it should have been sent together with the antler-less only tag you received. If you applied online, you can check your permit(s) status online also @ IDNR website.

Wolf - Our WONDERFUL US Postal service. I wouldn't wait too long to bring it to their attention because only God knows what spped theese folks can (might) work at.

I already emailed the DNR aboutmy tags.Did that Friday before I got the one I recieved. If they respond, I'll fill them in that I got one but not the other. I sent it to the permit email address on the contact page.
Edit: They responded. The last of the permits will be mailed by the end of the week. If you do not receive your permit by the end of Sept. then contact our office for replacement procedures. Thank you IL DNR Permit Office |

I heard they were having some computer trouble that was preventing them from being mailed out on time. I'm a D and still haven't got mine.

I'm confirmed on the dnr site, but no joy. i've gone through a address change since i applied, and our local p office has gotten us all kinds of messed up.

Nothing yet, I am in the second lottery too, cause I forgot to send it in this spring, they recieved it 5/7. I probably wont be hunting first season this year I guess. Oh, well, my fault, guess I will have to do more bow hunting.

mine says i have the tag yet to be mailed. although it has said that for over a month now. the date was 7/21/05 and it is the end of aug. i will have to call them or go into dnr and ask about it. it being only 10 min from my house.

Got mine a week ago - full season Piatt. Was thinking about putting in for the Allerton hunt but by 1st season shotgun I imagine all the deer will be spooked to high heaven. I was fortunate enough to draw an archery tag last year for Allerton but wasn't able to hunt much.
