Illinois or nearby WI/IN/MI Hunt Clubs?

So I remain a poor college guy (see other post complaining about increasinglyexorbitant deer tag prices), but I'm saddened with how little bird hunting I can do. On private land I've got deer and turkey and that's it.I was thinking about looking into hunt clubs but most of the ones that are well-publicized or represented on the internet are rather expensive in terms of membership fees, not much hunting included. I was just wondering if anyone knew of some clubs that wouldn't break the bank that are withindaytripdriving distance from either the Chicago area (family) or Champaign (school) that they'd recommend I look into. I could even swing the western part of WI, like Lacrosse, if it would be well worth the while, as I've got a place to stay there as well. State doesn't matter, it's really just being within an hour or two of where I can stay. Anyway, if anyone's got some favorites they could give details on, feel free to let me know. Additionally, if anyone's involved in a game farm and wants a web page but doesn't have one, I can handle that stuff if we can get the price of membership knocked down ;)

Our basic membership starts at $595 for the year and includes 10 pheasants. We're about an hour west of Chicago, between Marengo and Belvidere. Check out our website for more info, and call or email me if you're interested. Generally we're a members-only club but we will take some daily hunts every now and then. Trouble is, if you want to hunt more than once or twice you're better off getting a membership right from the beginning.

A gal I used to work with has a pheasant game farm. They are just a few mile north of Sterling, IL. They don't have membership fees. I have not seen her in a couple of years but their prices were $10/hen and $13/rooster. I imagine the prices have gone up a bit. But it wouldn't be too bad since their is no membership fee. If you want their info, drop me a PM and I will get it for you. And they are really nice people. They also have a good sporting clay course their as well. Good luck
