.338 Remington Ultra Mag - Model 700 LSS Rifle - Left-Hand (NEW PHOTOS)
.338 Remington Ultra Magnum
Left-Hand Remington Model 700 BDL, Stainless-Steel, Laminate Stock (LSS). EXTRAS: SS Douglas 26-inch sporter barrel, LimbSaver recoil pad, Timney trigger, Sako-style (AR-15-style) extractor, muzzle brake (adds 2-inches), extended box (4+1 rd.) floorplate magazine. Over $1400 invested in this enhanced multipurpose weapon. NEW PHOTOS: http://www.bighornbasinclassifieds.c...id=6298&view=1 This rifle was originally a .338 RUM - now with a new Douglas sporter barrel - so it WILL feed and cycle from the magazine. (A no-go on converted long-action 700s - internal width at the lower bolt rails = single feed only. 'Been there - done that - with a 700 .338 WM. The RUM rds. would go in the magazine - but jam on the way up! -'Was a pisser...I hunt in grizzly country...'sold that one...bought this one.) (Now, I need to buy more Automotive tools.) The new barrel has less than 150 rds. through it. 'Can shoot under 1-inch at 100-yards with hunting bullets. (Nosler 210-gr. Partitions going 3100+ fps.) What will it do with 210 Swift Sciroccos, 250 and 300-gr. SMKs? The rifle is rather light - standard 700 BDL sporter in weight. The muzzle brake is amazing in reducing muzzle rise and felt recoil. -Quite stationary, indeed. And the Sako-style (AR-15-style) extractor is positive and easy on the brass. If you can handle a (brakeless) 7mm mag or a .300 WM - you can handle this rig in the field. $950. (Guncase included.) FREE S/H (50 States) to your FFL/Dealer.
