Default Caryle spill way

My Cousin Marty aka Mr. Carlyle and I hit the spillway tail waters today from 9 am to 3:30pm. Did not see one big head. Managed to shoot a few gar and silvers. Could have shot a lot more gar but did not want to miss any chance at a big head if one showed up. Also seen a few grass carp, first time for me I shot one around 8 pounds. I could tell how much it weighed cause it had Scales. Did also manage to boat a nice 9 plus pound spotted gar. Must have been just too nice of a day, no wind, full sun, not hot only 84 degrees, no boats in the way and few bank fishermen.
