Aerial bowfishing opportunities on the Wabash River

It used to be that we had to drive over near Peoria on the Illinois River but it seems the fish have come to us. What do you think Johnny B, got your Indiana license yet?

Heck they get 19 without even releasing an arrow.

where at on the bash? and do u have to have indiana license?

I'm thinking they are somewhere around Montezuma but not sure. The bridge looks familiar in the background but johnny b will know. Where the Wabash river is the border between Illinois and Indiana, you don't need an Indiana license but further north near Danville, you would since the river rests entirely in the Hoosier state.

BTW, welcome to the Illinois Bowfishers, Mr. Pike :cool2:

I've got some spots down here between grayville and shawneetown. I have literally watched hundereds jump at one time because of a bird skimming the water

Chase i havent been down around graysville for a long time but with the wabash being what the wabash is lol how is the water clarity down that way on normal conditions i know up this way it never really gets good just tolerable.....

Rob, I made a trip down to montozuma a couple of years back, they have a nice boat ramp just to the south after you cross the river. you need a indiana license there, and yes i have my new 2011 indiana non-resident licence/. Now bact to the trip we did not see a fish, but hay I also drove to Peru, ILL to the Illinois river and did not see a fish either. My grandson Tyler took a shot at a bubble just to shoot his bow and he hit a silver only silver boated that day between two boats, the other boat was Snuffy, you know things are bad when he gets skunked. I do know that the numbers are getting better in the wabash all the time, i hit my first one in the air last year up by cayuga. Right now the water is down, but muddy.
