which is it? 24.5 or 28.25

Johnny b 06-07-2011 02:57 AM

Thanks joe for noticing i switched the numbers it is 24.8. That is what I got down on my official records.

Johnny b 06-10-2011 10:31 AM

Took a trip out to a private lake this morning, only got one shot but managed to make it count. 20.4 pound sow common carp. 32 inches long 28 inches girth. What was really cool I fell out of the boat putting water in the barrel with her in it. Fortuantly I had the lid on it. only went up to my knees so managed to keep phone, camera and wallet dry.

HNI_Christine 06-10-2011 10:46 AM

Johnny's carp.

robow7 06-10-2011 02:29 PM

I'll let Johnny B. give you all the details but could be tough to beat. 20.4 lb common carp

Johnny b 06-26-2011 11:11 AM

Just talked to Billy K and he shot a 28 # down at carlyle but did not post it. Who know maybe a 7 pounder will win it...lol

HNI_Christine 06-27-2011 02:18 PM

Johnny, do you know how much water they were letting out while Billy was down there. I see it's at 6000+ cfs now and the lake is going back up again.

John (from Missouri) is thinking of heading over there and was wondering if it would be worth the trip.

carpsniper 06-28-2011 07:44 AM

I haven't even shot a Bighead this year! **sigh***

I think it's time for a road trip.

Johnny b 06-28-2011 09:57 AM

My cousin marty has been down several times in the past few weeks. Even with the high fast water he has shot fish every time. He says you have to look really close but the fish are there. Cliff and i are meeting marty tomorrow down there for the day. I'll let you know how we do, there will be a ib11c big head posted tomorrow for sure.

Johnny b 06-29-2011 06:34 PM

Well my cousin Marty, Cliff and I hit carlyle dam today. first of all what a great day to be on the water. Water is still very high, but water color is as good as it gets and the fish are there. For the one's who have been there the water is level with the parking lot. just can see the ramp if you know where it is. If you did not know you would never see it. Well we shot 30 big heads and 5 gar. could have shot more gar just did not bother. we actually shot most of the fish down river, past the bridges. Cliff shot the largest fish a 21 pound big head, the best i could do was one that was 17.7 pounda which I am submitting for the IB11C. I know it is not large enough to last but got to start some where. May be some one could post the pictures for me.

Johnny b 07-24-2011 08:23 AM

Well Mr. Ken Sharp entered a .8 pound SHAD Today that he shot last night over at evergreen lake. Nice shooting Ken even a shad that big is hard to hit.

Robow7, Yes that is the format this year. Shad wins a prize or something, to be determined by christine. Although that will leave $30.00 in the pot left over, from the guys who signed up for all species.

Johnny b 09-25-2011 04:10 PM

Sorry, did it again. left out dog fish won by Joe Pike with a pay out of $25.00. nice going joe winning 2 catagories.

None of them did... Basically with every entry into the IB11C you also got a chance for the bow... If you paid for all 7 categories, you got 7 chances... Drawing will be done for the bow...

robow7 09-27-2011 12:14 PM

"SHAD TO KEN SHARP NO PAYOUT"

Yea, throw the guy a bone will ya :)

I never turned in that drum BECAUSE it was shot it KY.... :hit:

HNI_Christine 10-04-2011 12:47 PM

Drawing for the bow will be later today!

HNI_Christine 10-04-2011 05:32 PM

I assigned every one who put in for the IB11C a number (one number for each paid category they entered) So for example, if you paid for common carp and buffalo you get two randomly assigned numbers.

I have a copy of that list and Joanne has a copy of that list. A third person (Rob Grider) will randomly choose a number. The person who's number matches that, gets the bow. Rob does not have the list with the numbers so he can't play favorites.

As soon as I know what the number is..... I'll let ya'll know. :D

irydhard 10-04-2011 06:06 PM

WOW I cant believe I won I would like to thank everyone who made it possible (ME) hey Christine where do I send all the sugar free chocolates /:cool15:

HNI_Christine 10-05-2011 07:22 AM
