That is awesome! I'd like to see some video of that!
New division for tournaments? |
Here's some more photos - didn't get any fish that day
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?ai...3&l=5b6a6d9fee - but did the next - well sort of... I shot 12 but I lost every single one of the darn things off the arrow before I got them in..what am I doing wrong? The darn things do this aerobatic ballet and then poof they are off the arrow and I'm left standing there stomping my feet and saying unladylike things. Chief AJ who designed that slingshot will be spending the day with the SILO crew tomorrow...provided I can actually figure out this video business..I'll get some of the guy that really knows how to shoot fish with a slingshot! |
I think you have some arra flight issues lookin' at your photos. If the arrow doesn't fly pretty straight, it tears a big hole in the fishy and that allows it to move enough to let the barbs slip out.

This is the pic I was talking about...
![]() Notice how the arrow is flying? "nock down" is the term. On a bow this would indicate that you need to move the "Nocking point" on your string. But with your slingshot, you must keep your draw perpendicular (90 degrees) to the slingshot handle. Cheif AJ can explain it much better than I ever could. |
Chief AJ is on YouTube - cooooooool.
