Default Carp in the Shallows

I stopped at one of my spots on the way home from work to check the water level. There were fish cruising and splashing everywhere. So I went back home and got my bow. No way to put the boat in, only about 6" of water out 50 yards and a mud bottom, so I was wading. The water was like chocolate milk making the fish very hard to see. I could see the wakes and swirls but had a hard time telling where to shoot. Managed to get 3 on shore, had 3 pull of, one being a 3+ foot grassie . I think there were even some Big Heads cruising out in the middle.
Might see if the water rose enough to get the boat launched today, if it ever stops raining.

Your second carp's head looks like it'a cross between a carp and a grassy.

A garp?

I hope you can get the boat out there. Don't forget the oars.

Went back out today and the shallows were now 3-4 feet deep. The river is really coming up. Launched the boat but the fish were way back in the brush. Very hard to get back to em. Still hard to see them too. We could see them moving around in the weeds, but they were in 2' of water and vis was about 2". We managed to stick 3 commons and 2 grassies. The biggest was a 14 pound grassy.

Sorry no pics, it was pouring when we left and I threw them in the ditch behind my house as soon as I got home. The coons will eat good tonight.
