Looking for place to fish in West Central IL
 

I have never been before, but I have a friend who has moved to my area from out of state, who has bowfishing experience and we are looking for somewhere to go. I live in roseville and would like to find somewhere within an hour or so of there, any help would be great.

It's been many years since I've been there, but The Mississippi straight west of you around Carman, IL. I have fished near Lock and Dam 18. Should be some big fish in there.
Or you could go the other way over toward the Illinois River and it's backwaters. Banner Marsh, Rice Lake, Anderson Lake.
