What products do you recommend?
 

We have a new store we moved into at 474 Wylie Drive in Normal, IL (Crossroads Center near the Interstate Center) and we will be carrying bowfishing products. As one of the owners of Select Archery, I greatly value your opinion and would like to see a list of what you'd like to see in our store for the bowfishing section. Thanks!

That is a tall order as there are many different opinions on the different types of equiptment. Of course there are the AMS Retreiver reels that are popular by many. There are the Spin cast reels perfered my many as well. Typical Zebco 808 bowfishing reels or 888's. Most shoot the solid fiber glass arrows. The solid aluminum tend to bend. The Muzzy heads are popular as well as Sure shot Penetrators and Cajan heads. Then there are the Slide arrows and those with out slides. Any bow over 20-25 # will work. Recurves are popular, as well as oneida's. My buddy use to shoot a yard sale compound that he bought for $1. I'm sure that you will get other advise. Just wish your range was closer to me. It is rare to find any bowfishing equiptment anywhere. Glad to hear you are supporting the sport. It is very addictive.

As for a list,
AMS Retriever reels, Muzzy spincast reels,
Arrows- white fiberglass shafts with Muzzy/ or cajun predator points, Innerloc pro points. Perhaps some of the Cajun yellow jacket arrows as well.
F&D archery straight shooter rod extensions, Reel seats
Quick draw rests, Muzzy fish hook rests, Whisker biscuit rests, AMS "wave" roller rests.
AMS Fish Hawk bows (set up)

That's the short list... :s3:

Add cajun replacement tips to that list.
Cajun tips will fit the Muzzy heads as well and IMO the Cajun tips are tougher/harder than the Muzzy tips.

For all you guys who aren't from the B/N area you should stop in at this shop when you're in the neighborhood (ie; Fish and Feather and/or the Deer Classic).
