Just talked to my cousin who went over on Monday to shoot big head's below the dam at carlyle lake. Before going he stopped by a local bait shop and the owner told him that the dumpsters at the Parking lot were for disposing the fish. I told him NOT to do it until I found out for sure. This morning I called the Corp of Engineers. Talked to Dick Conner one of the guys in charge. He said that NO WAY DISPOSE OF ANY FISH IN THE DUMPSTERS. THAT WILL BE A VERY QUICK WAY TO GET US THROWN OUT. He suggested using the fish cleaning grinders located at the spill way camping area. The best thing was to give them to locals or use them for your self's. Please pass on the word. Dick is going to have the local CPO Talk to the bait shops to stop spreading the wrong information...

Unless they were going to empty and wash that dumpster every day... I didn't think that was a very good idea. I hope they get their communications ironed out.

BTW, to everybody out there.... do NOT put gar in the fish grinders. bigheads, silvers, buffs.. commons.. no problem. Gar are just too tough.

That's a good thing to clear up before they end up with dumpsters that are unsuitable for even the nastiest garbage.
