Bald Eagle on the Des Plaines River
 

While waiting for Bulzeye at the primitive boat ramp on the Des Plaines River, I saw a bald eagle perched on a dead tree in the middle of the river!
Unfortunately, I did not have my camera.The sightingmade my day.

We didn't fare too well on the river: only 4 carp. But I had fun and a great breakfast.

I wish I would have been there a few minutes earlier to see that.

I think he scared away all the fish though.
