Was out for a ride tonight when i stopped at big basin. I was checking the water clarity when a police officer pulled up and notified me that there had been some remains discovered a little ways down the river. He said they were human and were too badly decayed to identifiy. So just a word to the wise, becareful when you are out and about, never know what you will find. scary the things that are out there.

Glad you guys are OK. It sure would be bad to troll up on someone disposing of their handywork. They couldn't take the chance you saw them....

Of course it would be kinda hard to sneak up on someone with 3000 watts of lights and a gennerator (Even a quiet one)going. :eek:

I wondered where it was found, and thought it might be close to a fishing spot. Guess so.

Was it a pole fisherman that found it or one of us arrow-shooting guys?

Edit: Nevermind,I just read that it was a river-cleanup-crew that found it.

I hope they can identify it soon.

Eeewww! That was always my biggest fear when I was up on the Fox River... finding a decomposing body. Strangely, it was a goal of my sisters. I'd be all "Eww, there's some rotting over there in that garbage bag that washed up on shore." and I'd be steering or paddling away and she'd insist on going over there and checking it out. One time she found a mannikin's head. She was so excited. :eek::eek::eek:

I sure hope that if the body they found is a murder victim that they catch whoever did it. [>:]

So true!

I live in fear of pulling up a dead prostitute in a trammel net one of these days. That would totally wreck my week. With KC upstream, it is far from out of the question.
