Snuffy and I headed out to Lake Shelbyville yesterday. got there at 11 am shot until 7:20pm. The short nose gar are spawning. We ended up with 1 mirror carp. 19 commons and 29 gar. Had way to many misses. The most that Snuffy and I have ever had together. Could not believe we could still see fish in the water that late in the day.

I really want to get down there this Saturday evening if the weather cooperates since then I can be home for mama's day. Thank you Johnny and Mr. Big Fish for leaving me a few to miss as well.

Rob, With all the rain the lake is up just to summer pool. water temp. was hanging at 64 degrees. Not sure how long the gar spawn but they were sure at it on sunday. I shot so much my fingers were sore, that has not happened for some time. We just left the ramp and went nw past the island up to the end. Could not get to a lot of the fish, as Snuffy's v bottom drew too much water in the front and we would bottom out. Still was able to get to lots of fish. water clarity was not too bad other than where they were rolling and had it all churned up. have fun.
