Otter Lake South of Springfield
 

Anyone shot Otter Lake yet?Not much farther there than to Shelbyville for me. Heading there Friday with Honest045 to shoot the next state record. Planning on taking out some newbies on Clinton Saturday night.

Otter Lake was opened to Bowfishing this year. State record carp just waiting to be shot.

I live just a few minutes from otter lake. It has always been off limits to bowfishing. I heard rumor that they were going to allow it this year...but I haven't actually seen anything that says they changed the rule.

Well what's the scoop??!! has anyone shot this lake yet. I have a new to me boat that I'm working on then I headed there.

I checked into otter a little. all boats 35 horse and under need a 50$ sticker, boats over need a $100 sticker. one day pass is 10$ and three days 25$ there is a "quite time" that begins at 11 every night. it says no noises that could disturb anyone. all the camps are pretty much on one side though so I doubt a generator would be an issue as long as it wasn't right next to the camps. this lake has a reputation for being under nazi control so who knows.
