Congrats! I've got my first one in the freezer already, too. It is a huge doe. But I have not been deer hunting for 20 years and it has been 34 years since I actually killed one.[&o]
There are a lot of guys at my work that have time to hunt, though, and I am often the recipient of those labors. My family usually eats 5 to 7 deer a year, plus a lot of waterfowl that I don't actually hunt. I can part out a deer (or duck, goose, whatever) quicker than most. This year, with my 6'9" son in college, I think we may not need as much meat, though.
