finaly got the airboat runnin!!
 

well after 2 months of workin on the new rig i finaly got to take it out!! still dont have a front throttle cable, still on order. but it runs!! Bill and kristina shelby went out with me for a few hours. they shot a few small gar while i drove from the back seat. bill was the first to put blood in the boat. I finaly couldnt take it any more and had to go play. we found a mud flat and cut some doughnuts and ran around on dry ground. wiped out a few small trees and bushes. they were a little scared. It is a awesome ride. cant wait to get it to rend to realy see its true potential.

I can only imagine how much work that was, and how satisfying it must be to have it running andalmost complete.

I just realized we're not gonna have any problems finding you on the lakes now Slim. We should be able to hear that thing over our gennys no problem!

the blue truck is my new wheels. banks will loan money to anybody!! allready got the first things broke. rember i ran over some 2 in oilfield pipe the night i totald my truck. last weekend i broke 2 lights off of it. cracked another housing. I would say next up is somebody.almost everybody has been scared $^!+less after a ride. :) i just call it good fun. deffinately wont have any trouble knowin where we are. it is a little noisy:) heck i have always told anybody who asks where i shot at.

Yep, have to admit Slim has always been up front with where to go. Sign of a true Champ. see ya saturday. The last time I rode in a air boat was down in Florida 3 years ago. I hired a guide to take me and my father in law who was 80 at the time. Well the guy turned it over and threw us all out. We landed about 10 feet from a 10 foot gator. Do not know who was the most scared. But we did not see him again. We were straned out in the Okachobee swamp for 3 hours while the guide walked out for help. Was quite a trip. I did get a free Pig hunt out of it. The guide was scared of a law suit. I got a nice russian boar.
