With less than 35 days to until the 3rd annual Billy Davis Memorial Tourney,


Who will make it?...and what will it take to win it?

The Stanford fish stickers will be there and hopefully the CIRFCU will be ready. I still have much to get ready, the outboard, the lights and wiring, the generator(s), troller and batteries. Yikes! I'd better get busy. [:@]

Oh yeah, I think we'll see 350 broken if the weather's good.

So far Chez-head and Tommy Mac will be in my boat (johnny b). Snuffy will have Cliff and the ringer Jake. KBI-Prez is looking for a ride if Robow can not make it. counting the days.

19 days and counting I am ready. I think it will take 300 maybe less there are going to be alot more fan boats that will drop the fish count

A few of us Northern IL boys will be teaming up for the tourney.

I'm bringing Jason (JRW) with me, and also my Dad for his retirement present. Dad's never been bowfishing at night before.:)

We'll be getting a room in town for a nap before we head back on Sunday. Any suggestions? I was thinking of one of thehotels in Mount Vernon just a bit North of the Lake, cuz it's on our way back.

My gang is planning on dragging the old silver Dollar Fanboat across the Mississippi from the state of MO to shoot with yall. Hope we will have some good weather that weekend.

Joe says the lake is 2 or 3 ft higher than it was last year and a little muddy hopefully it will clear up. It might be close for the fan guys to get under the bridge

Always have to hope for thebest and prepare for the worst when it comes to the weather.

We're setting on sights onbeating the Triton of Terror. It went from a 7th place finish in '06to a 3rd place in '07.[:-]

It's at level Orange. (until we beat them) heh heh

Wow, i wonder what it will be like with the water that high. I remember last year it was high. it was hard to find any shore line at all. You could see fish back in the trees and could not get there. Should be interesting.

As far as fish slime.. I like Gary's barrel and Mark and JohnnyB's barrels. Cuts down on fish slinging slime while flopping around. blicky.

Just a little good-natured jawing. Heck, I couldn't care less who shoots what or how many fish we use to slime to the bottom of the boat. I'm going there to hang out, have fun and maybe goober up a few arrows. Just being there's enough for me.

Hey Chase,

Registration is rightbefore the tourney. Get there around 5pm and there will be burgers, hotdogs and desserts.

Do you have lights for your boat?

We are working on that!!

We got plenty of spot lights...but we are working on the boat lights.

Is there any tips to rend lake I should know??

Follow the Indy Boys.Andif this is your plan, bring a bigger barrel.Last year was my first time.We filled my 55 gallon barreland had to go back in the middle of the night to dump fish so we could keep shooting. Make getting a generator and a few halogen lights rigged up a #1 priority. You'll be very disappointedthat you have to stop shooting when you discover the 12 volt spotlights just don't cut it and you're batteries are dead.

And if you're running wide open in the dark and you know the trees are in front of you somewhere, but you're not quite sure how much farther ahead, shut the boat off.

I looked at Halogen Lights on Backwater Bowfishing.... I'll prolly be on bwhunter501's boat with him!
