down for the year

well the genny trouble at the state shoot was just the begining of my troubles. after finding out a factory muffler was over $400. i was out of luck. i fashioned a small lawnmower muffler on it and me and alex made a trip to the ohio river over the fourth and whacked a lot of nice fish including a new st record buffalo of 36lb 11oz. boated over 30 grassies over 20lb but no monsters. lots of nice fish shot and a few longnose spotted that will break the records. money has been tight what with saving for the world shoot, stingray hunt in maryland in aug. and a elk hunt in colorado in september. i havent been able to go every weekend like usual. well while laying in bed monday morning sleeping my right shoulder dislocated and i was unable to put it back in. something that happens a few times a year for me. well the doc said it was time for surgey. go under the knife wednesday. no more bow shootin for me for a few months. said i should make a full recovery in 5 months. still planning on going to colorado to scout/call/cook. will probaly be on here a lot now. this sitting around is allready driving me crazy. i stay very active and going and sittin around watching tv aint my game!!!!

Ouch.

5months!! I think I'd duct tape myself together instead.

So can I borrow your boat for the World's shoot? ;)

Good luck with the surgery and heal up quick!

That sucks Slim. I hope you get better soon. I know how you feel. I've had more surgeries and time off because of injurys in the past 3 years than anyone I know. You'll find something to do. ;)

But Steve, it's different for Slim. He's young. Stuff like that happens to old guys. They have to expect it when they're over the hilland outta shape.

Aw man,
Take care of yourself Slim. We're praying for a safe and successful surgery.
Heal quickly, and then go enjoy your Colorado trip.

P.S.
If Christine's duct tape doesn't do it for you, I think I've got some extra bungies and ratchet straps you can use.

Slim, sorry to hear about your plight. Was thinking do now know what size genny you need but for $275 you can buy a brand new 3500 Wen genny at manards. Everyone that i know that has one really like them. Mine has been trouble free, and snuffy's is over a year old with no problems. Just a thought there buddy.
