Clinton Lake

[:'(]Well Ole KBI-Prz and I went to clinton lake today for a nice boat ride. First my motor got us across the lake then konked out. So we had to use the trolling motor to get us back to the launch ramp. Plus the water was cloudy and we did not see one fish. So We loaded up and headed to Gerogetown lake. Where we did fare a little better. The water was clear, but not as clear as a few weeks ago when snuffy and I went. The fish that we did see were really spooky. Bill did connect with one that thought it was hiding in some weeds. We had a lot of snap running shots. Even got 6 shots at the same carp. He won. Got home and it appears that I have a fuel proplem. Plenty of spark, new plugs, will start and die. See a lot of settlement in the fuel line bowl. Always something.

Sorry to hear you guys had trouble. We got there around 11am.

We went straight over to the south shore and were able to get out of some of the wind. We saw quite a few fish but the shadows and chop made it a bit tough. The fish were pretty skittish too. Did see a couple of big ones.

We did get eight, missed a lot of the deep darting ones. We found a flat that we have to go back and hit with the lights at night. It looks like a hot spot.

Afterwards we drove around and looked at potential hunting spots. Didn't actually hunt tho'.

Nice going, Looks like some nice fish. We had the same thing at georgetown. The fish were really spooky, lots of snap shots and a blur. Been tinkering with the motor, looks like fuel problem. Monday need to call the dealer and see how to change the fuel filter. It is plastic (of course) and I do not want to break it. It has a lot of settlement in it. LATER...

Sorry to hear about your motor problems. We were wishing the little generator was working. I want to see if they are less spooky under the lights.

I can't quite seem to give up the deer for the fish just yet. I am determined to shoot some bigheads this winter though. That and some of those iced in carp up in WI.

Let us know when you're going after the bigheads and carpsicles.

It's my goal to bowfish at least once every month.

November was easy... ;)
