I have three bows set up for bowfishing; a recurve and two compounds. The recurve I shoot off the shelf, and also one of the compounds (it's older, with a riser that's not cutout like more modern compounds). The other compound I have has a Fishhook rest on it. I like it alot. It's inexpensive, simple and made of tough plastic. That's a good one.

There's others out there, but this is what I use, and I like it.

One tip on setting up the Fishhook...
Adjust it so that the rest 'rests' down on the riser.
There isn't enough friction in the elevation adjustment to hold a heavy fish arrow up for more than a few shots.

Don't forget to tune it up so those shafts fly straight or they'll make a quick turn when they hit the water. ;)

Actually, I've never had to touch mine since I got it center-shot. Once I set it up and got it shooting straight, it's not moved at all. And I shot with it the last half of last year with no movement whatsoever. Maybe it wasn't tighten enough...?
