I once got a call from a group that wanted to push through yet another tax hike for district 300.
When I told the lady I was undecided about need for another increase, said said in an alarming voice. "Do you realize that if they don't get this increase, your kids might have to go to Dundee-Crown High School!?"

I guess she thought she was calling somebody over in the lily white and white collar Algonquin or Lake in the Hills area. (Dundee-Crown is a 'rougher' school in blue-collar neighborhood)

I replied, "Hey, I went to Dundee-Crown."

She was silent for a moment and then said "Sorry." and hung up.

Hmmph.

My buddy up in my hometown has a pretty cool bumper sticker that says
"Buck Flagojevich". Too bad he didn't have an extra one!

The only thing that stinks worse than our landfill is Blagojevich politics.......just my opinion.........
