LOL! That reminds me...are you and Kendall coming up for the Wonder Lake shoot? If so, I need to get that stuffed gar to you for the booth. It's been banished to my garage for about 8 years now. "Ugly" is what I was told. (She's right too)

As a joke, I told my wife that I'm going to hang it in the new house.

She was like [:@]

I said, "Really, I think it'll look great with a couple bowfishing arrows next to it. Maybe I'll get a carp mounted too.
She looked at me like this:

No kidding, Honey. Right over the fireplace. We can decorate the family room in a bowfishing theme.



So, uh...when are you taking this gar off my hands?

I got my newsletter Thursday and I've already passed it around at work and at a family reunion yesterday! Plenty of oooh's and aaaah'sand lots of "you shoot carp?" Fortunately I carry my bow with me so I can break it out and show it off. UNfortunately I don't have any live fish targets available to demonstrate!

Yes, Chris, they got your good side.:D And yes, you'll have to shoot a record. Maybe this weekend?

Thanks for the kind words.
I especially like the new "ask the biologist" column. Let us know if you have a question for the biologist. I asked him if we could print one or two per newsletter. So, if you have a question regarding fish or their habitat, we'll try to get an answer. Some may even make it to the newsletter. :)
Also, it's not too early to get articles for the next newsletter submitted. ;)

Actually Carpsniper, I could use some help (biologically speaking :D).

I've been having trouble finding a good source of fish ID pics on the net.
Most of what I have found doesn't have actual photos of everythign, but sketches instead. There is plenty of text, but that can't always help with ID at a glance. Do you or Mike have a good resource to share?

This one does help ID the different carp...
