Illinois Fish Advisory

I've seen some threads regarding the safe amountsof rough fish to eat. Below is a website that provides more detail. It appears the predominant contaminant in carp is PCB's. I was surprised to learn that the state recommends not eating any carp from Lake Michigan.

I used to eat carp out of the Fox River and I'm okay. [twitch... twitch]

I'm pretty sure they don't test gar... so it's probably best to not eat gar out of thewaters that have advisories for other predator fish. (IL River, Fox River, Kankakee, Des Plaines, Mississippi etc., etc..)
