Default How to spend 500.00?

The club has received a donation of 500.00 for our June 3rd Charity/Fun shoot at Evergreen Lake in Bloomington Illinois.

This is to encourage as many people as possible to come and remove carp from the lake.

The 500.00 is to be distributed in prizes not cash. The club can choose what prizes to give out.

We need to order them asap. I want to get ideas from you guys on what you'd like to see as prizes. Lots of small prizes (hats, arrows, dvds)? One big prize like a bow and a few smaller prizes?

We're looking to spend our money with our sponsors first. (F&D, AMS, AimLow, Backwater... etc)

Please post or email me right away.

Thanks!

Well a DVD from Robin and Aimlow should be automatic, first and foremost. But I'd vote for equipment. Arrows, tips, maybe a gaff, line, afew reels (I found Shakespeare Synergy's for $15.00 each) and a Retreiver. You could probably get a Kingfisher bow too with that much.

That's my 2-cents.

I like the idea of more prizes instead ofa few large one's. Let's face it most of us have bow's already. The shoots that i have been too, it is really nice to go home with something else besides memories of Slim winning. lol. That my 3cts.

So can we pay Slim not to compete?

I like the idea of complete arrows. Reels, line, gaffs, all things I could really use!

I have to agree on the suggestion for small stuff...points, arrow shafts, reels and such. That's a heck of a generous donation though. My thanks to the donor.

Equipment is good. Everybody needs spare stuff, and then it's easier to take a new guy out and let him have his own gear.

It could also give somebody a chance to try a different setup they might not have bought for themselves.

You can donate the money to the "Mike Needs A Boat Charity"!!!!!! It is tax deductible.

I hope all of you can make it to the Evergreen Shoot this coming up weekend. It'll be nice to finally meet some of you!

Tootles,
Mikey
