I am guessing that you folks mean Geneseo and not Genesee. Live about 3 minutes from the canal and it lock 24 is just north of Geneseo while the Hennepin feeder doesn't go north of Rockfalls which is still a ways south of Genesee... Just checking, hope to make it you to at least see what all the excitement is about..

I've been to that lock several times, I want to say it is about 20 minutes from my front door to there if I don't speed.. Grants last name was also a big tip off.. Kind of a big name around here.

As far as bowfishing gear.. Yeah, I got to get some of the accessories. I just spent the last couple weeks rebuilding an old Oneida for a guy to use as fishing bow, should have kept it.. lol. I have a bow or two that could work for bow fishing, just have to turn the weight down a bit on the one (Oneida BE) and change the let off to under 50 and I should be golden..

I did a little bit late last year before deer season with a mid 80's browning bow I have. It was fun, didn't get too many but it was fun.. I think I would want something a bit better than what I put together last year... It loosely fit the definition of bow fishing gear...
