022 Wildcat Hunting & Outdoors Club – Hunts (Rifle & Bow), Activities, Rates

Wildcat Hunting & Outdoors Club is currently located on Wildcat Lake inside of a 100,000 acre private Wildlife Reserve. Our northern boarder is adjacent to the largest Provincial Park in Ontario, Algonquin Park. This unique location provides for a multitude of opportunities for both Activities and Big Game Hunting.

A Wildlife Reserve is defined as an area reserved to preserve wildlife habitat. Wildcat currently uses a Hunt Lease with exclusive rights to 2010 acres of private property inside of the 100,000 acre private Wildlife Reserve. We are located about 3 hours north of Toronto.

Due to various factors including changes in the allocation for Moose Tags, COVID, and ever steeply rising inflation costs for just about everything we need as a Club, have been forced to re-think our structure. This will ensure the sustainability of the Club and Membership for Generations to come.

We are currently not a full-service guide/outfitter or a self-hunt operation. Somewhere in the middle of these two is where we sit. In the past the Club based its fees on 16 Moose Hunters and 12 Deer hunters per year. The new fee schedule is designed to make it more fair for hunters, hunters pay for the services used, and to reward those who help in their own hunts.

We also took into consideration what it costs to go on other hunts of the same kind in different and same locations in Ontario and Quebec. The value of your time to do a self-hunt vs. the cost of an outfitter was also weighed. The cost of buying or leasing land and setting up your own operation including the years needed to figure out the land and animal runs is a big part of the cost of hunting and was also explored and compared. We feel that we have put together a very innovative and different way of looking at a Hunting Club.

GROUP MOOSE POINTS @ WILDCAT 2022 Currently Wildcat has one Member with 13 points. Estimated 95+% chance on getting a Bull Tag 2022 According to the MNRF last year all the big points holders were wiped out. Of the ones in our WMU 54 tags went out at 22, 16, 15, 14 points in first round. In second round 3 bull tags went to 13 points. It would be within reason to say that unless a bunch of "ringers" who never applied in 54 last year come in we would be almost guaranteed a tag at the same tag numbers as last season.
