We found the broken part after a long search. Had him mounted lifesize. Surprisingly hard little beast to hunt. Long shot too. Over 250 yards in a strong cross wind and he was facing me dead on. Held a foot into the wind and took him in the base of the throat with a 7mm Mag. If I ever get back to RSA I'd like to go for another Vaal and a Mtn Reedbuck.

Oh yes they truly have earned their reputation. Ghost of the mountain tops. That sounds about right for hunting Vaalies, if you not already puffed out by the hike then you most certainly have the wind or distance to deal with.
Hunting Vaal Rhebok is not for the faint hearted. Glad to hear you found the rest of the horn.
