Meanwhile I'll hunt a ranch owned by an old family friend in CO. It's a little over 10,000 acres and all it will cost me is the price of a tag which I can always draw and the gas to get there.

He had some cow elk tags a few years back that were mighty interesting. DIY, 1-day hunts but awful good meat.
