Iowa Whitetail Hunt 2017-2018
Over 2,500 acres of private ground 100% free range low fence hunting in southwest Iowa. Largest area will be 1,200 continuous acres.
Last season (Jan. 2016) two hunters from Texas came, one missed a 145" 8pt the other missed a 185" 14pt while hunting a total of three days. They had to leave early because of a child was being born.
Most hunting will take place over clover, brassica, soybean, and corn food plots.
Many treestands, blinds, and tower blinds on the properties.
These are 7 day hunts and more than likely you will be the only ones in camp, although there might be overlap possible. Only 6 hunters total for the entire year (can make some exceptions, call me)
This is a draw only late season muzzleloader hunt. Season dates are Dec. 18th - Jan. 10 draw odds are almost 100%.
Rates are as follows:
One Hunter $3,500 includes video tape of hunt, one guide, meals, skinning, quartering, caping, gutting of animal and lodging.
Two Hunters $6,000 includes one guide, meals, skinning, quartering, caping, gutting of animal and lodging.
Three Hunters $7,500 includes guide(s), meals, skinning, quartering, caping, gutting of animal and lodging.
More than three hunters are an additional $2,500 each.
Non-refundable deposit of $1,500 is due to hold your dates. If you're not drawn (100% success this year for late season zone 4) I will hold your spot for four years. The first Sunday in June is the application deadline.
Five bucks over 147" and 4 years of age have been harvested off of these properties in the last two seasons.
In 2014 alone I harvested three bucks, 147", 151", and 172" and hunted a total of 5 days.
125" Minimum on all farms unless told otherwise by guide. If a buck's gross score comes out under 125" you will be charged an extra $500 no hard feelings.
Drinking or drugs while hunting isn't tolerated. Drinking after the hunt is fine. No deer drives allowed. Temperatures will be cold, windchill below -20 possible during the hunt. There will be spot and stalk involved during the hunt after the second day of hunting.

Adding a couple things...
You don't get an ethical shot at an animal over 130"? You get a $1,000 refund or $1,500 toward your next hunt.
