Default 8 Day Combo Archery Hunts $1,495 or 7 Day Combo Rifle Hunts $1995 !!!

8 Day Combo Archery Hunts $1,495 or 7 Day Combo Rifle Hunts $1995 !!! There isn't much else I can say, except there are only 4 seats available, they won't last long, First 4 deposits and they are gone for this year.

Located in Western Colorado on the Grand Mesa, the largest flat-top mountain in the world, this outfitter offers big game hunts in GMU421 on their big game rich private land. They also provide access to 15,000 road-less acres of National Forest via our special use permit.

The mountain peaks at 10,500 feet and the north-facing slopes feature aspen, black timber and oak brush laced with streams and wallows, all ideal for prime elk and deer hunting.

We provide muzzle-loader, rifle and archery hunts for elk, mule deer, black bear, or any combination of those three, for the same price. We specialize in quality hunts that the hunter can afford and be successful. The outfitter has lived and hunted this area all of his life so he knows every nock, cranny and honey hole containing deer, elk and bear this area has to offer.

Our land provides the water, feed and cover, that elk need and the lack of pressure from other hunters in this area allows for great hunting and the chance at a trophy animal.

Archery hunters typically hunt from tree stands during the first half of the season, watching water holes, or game trails. By the second half of the hunt you will have acclimated to the high elevation and can move deeper into the road-less area where you can spot and stalk, call, or watch a trail or water source. During rifle season you will generally watch more country. You may spot a bull one mile or more away and then stalk him until you are within shooting range.

Glassing is vital to a successful hunt in this type of country. Dawn and dusk are typical feeding times for elk so you should be set up at your location ready to glass at first light and stay out glassing all day until it is too dark to see.

The quality bull requirement of the area is defined a as Legal bulls have four points one side or a five inch brow-tine. Archery, 2nd and 3rd rifle season tags are available over-the-counter. First and 4th rifle seasons are 100% draw without any points; many times there are leftover licenses after the draw. You have a chance of drawing muzzle-loader bull tags with two points and are guaranteed to draw with three.

Western Colorado Deer Hunting

The Grand Mesa is located in Mesa County, one of the top producers of Boone and Crockett mule deer. You can add a deer tag to your elk hunt at no additional charge and we encourage you to do so.

Our hunters see quite a few bucks and you have a high probability of bagging a deer.

All deer licenses in Colorado are awarded through a draw but you have a good chance of drawing without any points. We will be happy to assist you with the details in filing your draw application.

In rifle season with the rut approaching, big bucks become more active. Glassing is very important when deer hunting because they are smaller and blend into their surroundings better than elk.

The Grand Mesa is home to a large black bear population whose coloring varies from black to brown, cinnamon or blonde. An abundance of berries and acorns draw the bears to our area. It is common to spot bears while hunting deer or elk and we see some huge ones every year.

Our trail camera captured quite a few shots of bears over the last year and we spotted several during the season. Archery hunters sitting over water sources will have a high chance of shooting a bear coming in for a drink.

Should you choose to fly into Grand Junction, we will ****** your party up the Grand Mesa to our location; if you drive in from the east we will meet you on the mountain in the town of Mesa and lead you up to the cabin. Upon arrival at our property we will give you a tour of the area, pinpointing the water sources and canyons where we have the most success and the GPS coordinates for tree stands, meadows, trails, wallows, streams, and glassing points. A pack horse is available for packing out your elk.

Your accommodations include a rustic, two-story cabin with generator-powered lighting and microwave, a propane stove and refrigerator, a wood stove, a half-bath, and beds. You will need to provide your own food and hunting gear; we provide the chance to bag the elk or deer of your dreams!

BC Creek

The Grand Mesa National Forest, featuring over 300 lakes, sits atop the largest flattop mountain in the world. Home to large elk and mule deer herds and a thriving black bear population, this area provides plenty of opportunity for a successful hunt. Every year our hunters see some members of the recently introduced growing moose herd, including some big bulls. The alpine meadows surrounded by forests of Spruce, Aspen, and Fir create a scenic backdrop for your hunt. As with any hunt, above average temperatures make for tough hunting, and cold, snowy weather improve the success rate.

KC Canyon

We have two parcels of private property one mile apart that provide access to the adjoining non-motorized National forest. We will spend half a day before season giving you a tour of our property and the National Forest and the coordinates for all of the GPS marked trails, tree stands, meadows, water sources and glassing points. Your hunt includes a horse to pack out your game and we do not charge kill or trophy fees. You can hunt bear along with deer or elk for the same price.

TC Cabin

The driveway to the cabin is one mile long and has three locked gates. The cabin features a wood stove with cut firewood and coal. The lighting and microwave are powered by a generator. We also offer a propane fueled refrigerator, stove-top, oven and BBQ-grill and multiple beds and tables for evening relaxation. The half-bath includes a shower but it is winterized around the start of rifle season to prevent freezing pipes.

It's a DIY hunt, includes: cabin, gps coordinates of watering holes and tree stands and includes a pack horse for animal removal. Outfitter doesn't charge extra for adding deer and a bear which is really nice. Limited space! Only 1 spot for 3rd and 4 in 4th season...
