Default Wyoming Deer/Antelope Tresspass Hunt Special

I just got a call from one of Wyoming outfitters and I can offer a trespass hunt for mule deer and antelope on 8500 acres near Sheridan, Wyoming. Only 3 mule deer bucks may be taken. Mule deer / antelope combos are $2000 and “antelope only” hunts are $1000 (can shoot one buck and one doe antelope with proper tags.) The makeup of the group doesn’t matter as long as we get a minimum of $8000 from the group. For example, we could take 3 combo hunters and 2 antelope hunters for $8000 or 2 combo hunters and 4 antelope hunters for $8000. A larger group could be taken also as long as no more than 3 hunt deer.

Here’s the scoop. This outfitter wants to cut back on his mule deer harvest there for the next two years. He says the ranch needs a rest but he it has been a good one for him in the past and he wants to keep the lease on it. The antelope are still doing well. He feels the odds of killing a muley buck are excellent but the chances are not good for taking a trophy animal. The antelope are typically around 13 inches.

Hunt dates are October 1 – 15, 2011 and hunters can hunt the entire 15 days if you wish. No other hunters will be on the ranch. You would need to arrive on September 28 or earlier, meet the outfitter, get a tour of the ranch and scout it prior to the opener. From that point on, you are on your own. There is no lodging, meals, or assistance from the outfitter. No camping is permitted on the ranch. We are looking for a responsible group that will treat the property with respect and stay within the confines of the ranch.

This hunt might be a good option for a group that doesn’t require trophy class animals but wants to hunt western big game and have a private ranch to themselves.

License application deadline is March 15, 2011. 100% draw for both species in this area. License cost is $326 for deer and $286 for buck antelope and $34 for doe antelope. A $12.50 habitat stamp is also required.

Please call or email with questions or to book.

Thanks,
