Archery Moose
I am looking to go on a archery moose hunt in 2009. Was wondering if anyone could recommend a good outfitter? Does not need to be record book! If anyone has any thoughts that would be great. Outfitters feel free to reply as well.
Thanks!!! |

make sure to use the underscore mark, not the dash. I can't delete the underlining on my email but there is an underscore mark between the words lovta and hunt. If you have outlook you can just click on the email address. |

SHIRAS MOOSE
Intense management and quality habitat produce big bulls. There are two options for hunting Shiras moose. In early October during the peak of the moose rut,our outfitterguides clients with archery gear where calling and stalking is the strategy. Our rifle hunts take place in late October when the rut is winding down, however the bulls will still respond somewhat to calling. The first snow accumulations of the year typically occur during our moose rifle hunt, and often are what get the bulls moving out of the timber and into the slides, where spotting and stalking puts our clients in position. We have a very high bull to cow ratio and offer excellent opportunity on world class Shiras moose. Fifty inch bulls are the norm on our outfit. Archery moose hunts can be combined with elk, bear, and deer. Rifle moose hunts can be combined with deer and goats. We are limited on the number of tags we receive annually, so early booking is mandatory for these hunts. RE: Archery Moose
Northern Monarchs is a small personalized outfitting business dedicated to the serious bowhunter. There is no bigger challenge than that of harvesting a big game animal with your bow. It is the small details that make a bow hunting experience successful and it is those details that Northern Monarchs pays extra attention to.
We are located 75 miles west of Edmonton, AB on the North side of Chip Lake, home of the world record non-typical mule deer. You will hunt the foothills region of the province and the transition between the farmland and the foothills of the mountains. The land is a mixture of croplands between large tracts of spruce and pine forests with rivers and swampland. This area is known for large deer, moose, and elk. We can provide quality hunts for all these depending on tags availability, and will tailor the hunt to your requirements. If you decide to book a hunt Northern Monarchs will provide the following services:[/b] 1. Pick up and drop off to and from either Nisku, AB or from the Edmonton Airport. 2. All transportation during the time of the hunt. 3. Accommodations are in a cabin which is the main camp or they me be from spike camps as necessary to give you the best opportunity to get your animal. 4. All meals during the time of the hunt. 5. Field dressing, caping and quartering of game. 6. License and tags are the responsibility of the hunter and must be paid for prior to the hunt. 7. A 50 % deposit is required to book any hunt and payment should be made by certified check or money order. 8. Balance is due 30 days prior to the start of the hunt and should be made as specified. 9. Deposits are non-refundable but can be transferred to another hunter or used for the following year. 10. Cost of the hunt is fixed, no refunds if the hunter fills out or leaves early.
