Canadian Bowhunting Property - deer/lakeside/cabin/lease

Truly a bowhunters paradise, as within.

Located in the historical Ottawa Valley, this pristine and exclusive property is situated on 400 acres of land - just steps from a beautiful 14 acre spring fed lake, nestled a few miles off the beaten trail, is bordered by two lakes, and surrounded by thousands of acres of Ontario Crown Lands

The property has some great history attached. It was initially a farm homestead in the early 1930's, then established as a family deer hunting camp in 1943 and maintained for that use until this date - utilized more recently for wild turkey excursions in the spring.

This prime hunting area has everything from black oak hardwood forests, swamps, ponds and pockets of small fields and coniferous forests. It holds whitetail deer, elk, moose, black bear, Algonquin/Eastern wolf, and coyote. There is also plenty of upland game including ptarmigan, ruffed/spruce grouse, ringneck pheasant, Hungarian partridge, and wild turkey - with many small ponds and tributaries surrounding that offer local waterfowl as well.

Whitetail Deer
Steeped in Canadian history, this county boasts some of the oldest, established deer hunting camps in Ontario. Through years of hunting experience, it is the foremost place to hunt deer.

The area is prime whitetail country and offers a full six days of Canadian trophy whitetail hunting since Sunday hunting is permitted. The property has maintained itself throughout the years. It is full of black oak off one side of the property with an amazing acorn mast, has multiple bedding/feeding areas, wallows, small swamp areas, and natural travel corridors. There is great trophy potential on this property with bucks ranging to 160-90 P&Y and commonly dress out at over 230 pounds. Some huge bucks have been harvested from area in recent years with one ten-point buck taken in the first week of November (03) that dressed over 247 pounds - scoring well-over 190 Pope & Young. Pictured below is a deer taken not to far from the lease (2007). The property has an established trail network along the natural travel corridors and proven stand locations already mapped out for your convenience. An experienced hunting guide will pre-scout with you and your hunting party upon arrival. We will try to heighten your success.

I'd also like to know about the firearms season. We came up to Ontario a couple of years ago and had a blast. The first week of Nov. is great for us cause our season opens the next week. Regarding bows, are crossbows legal? My father has too use one due to physical restrictions.

Thanks,
Steve
