100'' SHED FOUND TODAY
Boys I cant wait until next deer season. I was shed hunting on one of our properties today and found a real good shed. The one side scores 100 4/8 inches. This is the first fresh shed I have found this year, I was getting game cam pictures a month ago of deer with antlers missing. This is the first weekend I have had a chance to go out shed hunting. I also found 2 othersheds from last year, both were nice size and would have been nice had therodents not chewed them up, And a 155- 160 inch10 pointer laying dead on the creek bank. He had been dead awhile and was mostly gone.
I am going back in the morning to look for the other side better. This is truly a monster buck. If his other side comes close he will score 210-220 inches and could go over that 220 mark. This fall he will be a buck that should break that 220 mark with no problem.
We still have a few good rut hunts available. If you are a hunter who is interested in hunting an area that produces truly world class deer. Wants to hunt Archery onlyprivate farms give me a call @ 217-826-5337 or e-mail me@[email protected] .

stick, How and where do you look for sheds? I have been hunting since a little kid and never have found sheds ...well except for deer that were wounded and never found. I have heard to walk 25 yards either side of a heavily traveled deer trail and you can find sheds but I never have? My dad has found them in our food plots a few times but every time I look I find nothing. Now that I have had lasik I may be able to find more!!!!!! Is now a good time to look in Ga or is it too late, I know chipmunks love to eat the sheds pretty quick. Thanks
I also have heardthe overseas people say it helps with the sexual problems and heard they pay good money for them. Is this why all the old hunters look for sheds, are yall to cheep to buy viagraj/k!!!!!!!!!

The real secret to finding sheds is to do your homework. We watch deer all year. One of the best tips I could do is to ride around in Late Jan. and Feb. and find the bachlor groups of bucks. I dont know to much about deer in Ga. And it may be different, But in Ill. when it gets cold the deer bunch up on food sources. In Ill. you are liable to find several bucks together on the same food source The deer do not cover alot of ground this time of year, after rut they are rebuilding themselves. If you can figure out where they are bedding and feeding their sheds will probably in one or the other or somewhere between the two.
We also have good luck finding them in and around our food plots. Places along trailswhere a deer has to jump somthing are also good. You must make sure that there that there are bucks where you are looking, this is not necessarily where you were seeing them during hunting season.
It also takes alot of time, I know a guy who used to kill alot of big deer and he told me that he figures he walks 30 miles for every shed he finds, this was 10 years ago and deer populations are better now but it takes alot of patiants to find sheds. I probably go 10-15 miles now per shed.
Well good luck to ya and I hope your surgery helps.
