Alaska Duck Hunting (Un-Guided)

Available Dates:
September 1 - December 16 (yearly)

Description:
That´s correct! A trophy bonus hunting trip that doesn´t cost any more than the deposit you choose! Hunt´n & Fish´n Biz has recently purchased the McDougall Lodge on the Alaskan Yetna River. This particular stretch of the river is home to a wide variety of migratory waterfowl. There will be plenty of shooting available.

Lodging:
On our self-guided packages, you will be staying in the main lodge. The lodge contains sleeping quarters, a meeting area, pool table, and television. You will be required to provide your own food and cook your own meals. There is a shower.

About the Area:
A short 35 minute float plane ride from Lake Hood, (which is adjacent to the Anchorage International Airport), will put you at the doorstep of McDougall Lodge, just minutes down river from the confluence of the Yentna River and Lake Creek. Lake Creek is a clear, gravel bottom river that flows some 65 miles south from it’s headwaters at Lake Chelatna in the Alaskan Range near Mt. McKinley. The Yentna and Lake Creek are renowned as some of the great salmon fisheries of the world. It is also well renowned for it´s fine wing shooting.
