Hiring an outfitter assistance

I thought I would post this article I wrote or a magazine on hiring an outfitter. Please remember this article was for a print magazine and I was limited on the amount of words I could use. Just another tool, along with other works on hiring an outfitter for your tool box. I sincerely hope this helps some folks. https://greatdaysoutdoors.com/2017/0...elk-outfitter/.

This topic was moved at the OP's request and is meant to be a resource for people considering outfitted hunts and how to research them. As a member, he is also a good resource to obtain perspective from the guide's point of view.

The link doesn't work anymore. Is there an update link?

Hey TwoBear, I checked the link and it's no longer good. I don't know what happened at the other website but hopefully it can be restored. On a related topic, I'd love to get a sticky topic started on this in the Hunts/Outfitters Topic section. A lot of members seem to ask questions about this and it would be good to have a reference topic they could be referred to. Ideally, it would use your article or what you can post without copy-write restrictions as a starter and then get other guide members to chip in and members who have used guided hunts to offer their perspective. IMHO, it would end up being a tremendous resource for members as well as drawing web traffic to the site.
