Bench Made Machetes For Sale

These are really nice high quality bench made machetes intended for work in woody areas. If you go into the woods a lot, these will be your friend. A 14" blade is perfect for small tree limbs, and thick brush. They look like they are just for display, but these are some really tough knives capable of some SERIOUS abuse.

They are constructed of 6150 steel (you will not find 6150 steel in any factory made knife or machete) which is just perfect for a knife that you are going to be banging into rocks, dirt and getting wet. 6150 is similar to 5160 but it has Vanadium. 6 series are chrome Vanadium steel. 6150 should better 5160 in all regards by a small margin... same or better edge holding, a bit better grain structure, greater impact hardness, so IMO a better choice for a blade that is going to be beat to death in hostile environments.

I have two types one is the Golok style and the other is the Duku Chandong.

Both weigh in around 760 grams without the leather cases and the handle is 6" and blade is 14".

Both are full tang construction with brass rivets and guards.

They are sharpened with a convex grind and both have burl wood handles with brass eyelets for para cord.

They come with a leather case and I will sell 1 machete and 1 case for $76+ PayPal fee shipped to anywhere in the lower 48.

Word of warning - make sure there are no body parts in the cutting path when you swing it.

Nip, I have a billhook, very similar to your design. I was wondering about some info on this type. What was it originally desined for etc.

Any info you could supply would be great appreciated.

This model is the a Staffordshire billhook and this design is subject to local interpretation, but a double edge originated in Staffordshire. I happen to like this design, but there are many more double edge styles.

When you say Benchmade, you dont mean the brand Benchmade but you making it on a bench right? Also do you still sell these? And is there anyway to personalize them?
