The Mini-IR MX-1 is a small, lightweight and easy to use handheld thermal imager. It uses a 160 x 120 ASi FPA with a 47 micron pitch. The system uses digital signal processing running at a 20 hertz frame rate. The Mini-IR has integrated compact optics, weighs under a pound and easily stows in a jacket pocket. The Mini-IR has been designed to endure the rigors of outdoor use and rough handling. Even with its small design, image quality is not compromised and the unit maintains high performance at an unparalleled value. The Mini-IR provides the individual user with a thermal detection capability of up to 305 meters for a man-sized target. The unit can be focused from three feet to infinity. The unit is submersible to three meters and operates on only two AA batteries.
