Recommendations for More Affordable Blinds
I am in the market for a new pop up, enclosed blind, but can't see spending $3-400.00. Any suggestions for more affordable ones that still offer good room and function?

RE: Recommendations for More Affordable Blinds
I probably should mention that I wish to use the blind to hunt whitetail with a rifle.

I have a Ameristep Brickhouse hub blind and this works great. It is put up or taken down in less than a minute. It is around $130.00 new. I would suggest that you put a coat over the top of it when sitting in it for gun hunting. Hope this helps.
Have a safe and good hunting season. |

Buckmaster, thanks. I ended up buying a Ameristep Original Doghouse, as it looked good and was on sale for $75 @ Gander. Is the coat on the top suggestion because they are leaky in foul weather?

RE: Recommendations for More Affordable Blinds
I guess I should have said put a blaze orange coat on top. The coat on top is so someone doesn't shoot you while you are in it.
These blinds are hard to see and if you have deer out by it someone could shoot you as they are shooting at the deer because they would not even know you were there without the blaze orange displayed. Some people also put strips of orange on them, but I feel the coat is better and it doesn't alert the deer because it doesn't move. I think next year here in Wisconsin they are actually going to pass a law where we have to have some kind of blaze on a blind whenwe hunt out of it. Have a good and safe hunting season!! |
