Digital Game Cam Solar Panel

Anyone hook up a solar panel to their game cam? If so how much longer does the rechargeable battery last? Thanks for any help

RE: Digital Game Cam Solar Panel

huntinyoung, I do use the solor panels on my dig. cam and my corn feeder as well. It keeps my rechargeable batteries up full all the time. I do change out the batteries every other month just to keep them rotated in my stock of rechargeables. I bought extra batteries when I bought the solor panels, thinking they wouldn't keep them to full chaarge all the time, but so far, they are. I use the 6V6AH batteries. To me, it's the way to go. Oh, and you do need to keep the panels in mostly full sun. They have a long cord on them. Hope this info helps.
