I suggest everyone go out and buy Bob Segar greatest hits 1 & 2. You won't find a better couple of discs to listen to for the long drives. It's a staple for us, and funny enough brings good luck when we pop it in:DJDinAB

I appreciate you taking the time explaining this to me. I am not perfect in any means. I play music myself and can play many of Skynards's songs. I did not realize that about The Needle and the Spoon. Back in the day we didn't pay attention to the lyrics. We would crank up that Clasic Metal and put the petal to the metal. I 'm singing a different song though now but to each his own.

On the drive to the hunting grounds I usually listen to Chris LeDoux, Johnny Cash or Montgomery Gentry. Or the morings like openning day bow season ,where I didnt get much sleep because of being extremely excited I need something to get things pumping and I'll listen to Metallica or Disturbed.

Dang James never had you figured for a headbanger! :D I listen to everything but I still prefer 80's hair metal..lol. Red I know those Skynyrd songs well. I think i got everything they ever released. All I can do is write is one of my favs by them. Nothing like a couple of cold ones and some Skynryd.

Was out one evening had the stereo cranked sub woofers going to ZZ Tops Tube steak boogie ,,this must of got all the deers excited ,,looked over could of sworn they were up on there hind legs smakin' hoofs and givin high fives.

i love listening to skynard, sublime, pink floyd, petty. and a couple years ago when nappy roots came out with thier first cd, thats all i could listen to on the way to the woods. Pistol Pete
