Leupold 3-9x40 or Burris 3.5-10x50

I have experience with Leupold scopes and have never had a problem with them. I can get a 3-9x40 Leu. for the same price as a 3.5-10x50 Burris. I understand Burris scopes to be of good quality. What I don't have experience with is a large objective lense. I hunt in Georgia on several different properties two of which are trophy managed. Will the 50 mm objective give any clarity difference in low light as compared to the 40 mm objective? I am only comparing these two scopes.

RE: Leupold 3-9x40 or Burris 3.5-10x50

The Burris 3.5-10x50 is a very bright scope much more then any Leupold 3-9x40 for sure. If only Burris had Leupolds customer service it would be an easy recommendation. BTW they are now made in Japan and supposedly better then the old FF II for what its worth. If you really want a bright scope look at a Nikon 3.5-10x50 it has 3.9 eye relief which is constant and is extremely bright compared to a Burris and compares nicely with anyones lowlight scope.
