Bibs and jacket. coveralls are too confining.

Right now I have coveralls for the shotgun season when it is colder and pants and jacket for bowhunting. I will get bibs and jacket in the future. I got the coveralls because that was what I could afford at the time. Enough though I haven't worn bibs and jacket, I can see where they would be the favorite.

The situation dictates for most it seems. For me it is also a dollars and common sents issue. I would be willing to bet that Jim Shocky could convince some to the coverall side. I like wool, scent lok and wicking material of either, ahmm on sale.

I like Bibs or pants and a shirt (jacket). Coveralls to me aren't comfortable,a pain to get in and out of.Especially in case of an emergency LOL.For many years all I would buy were bibs.I got a deal at W*M closing out hunting clothes.I bought several pairs of pants and long sleeve shirts.I'm getting to like this better then the bibs now. In extremely cold weather give me my insulated bibs.Put a pair of camo sweats on underneath and I'm ready for any cold conditions.

RE: Coverall vs pants and coat

another vote for the bib and coat i was a coverall guy till this year when my parents bought me a set of walls black duck in advantage camo
i like the fact that i can hike up the bibs and make the set fit perfectly no more dragging crotch over barbed wire
i like that i can lose the top when we stop for lunch at the cabin and not get too hot
also like the xtra pockets i have the breast poket fits hand warmer quite well
draw backs cost a little more
the walls i have have nylon zippers(but i like them going up to the hips)
i dont like elastic straps ( i think they will streach out eventually)
i dont like the flimsey buckles i have (love the carhartt ones though)
jacket hikes up on me

now the coveralls get used when working outdoors on the yard in the cold(shoveling snow and such)
i do have non insulated coveralls for auto work though

I prefer the pants and jacket. Coveralls are too cumbersome to carry in, to hot to put on before you climb up, and dangerous to put on while your up. Not to mention trying to drag a deer, still hunt or go to the bathroom. I do believe they do come in handy if you have to wear your street clothes, hunt a few hours then go to work without to much changing, or vica a versa after work.
