Scope Info.

There are some folks who spend a great deal of $$$ on some very fine optics. I, on the other hand don't have the $ to spend on the scope/s I like. So my question is... Are there any good scopes anyone could recomend for around the $100 range? I hunt with shot gun and a smoke pole. Thanks

I have the Bushnell Trophy 3-9x40 on one of my shotguns, my friend has one on his shotgun. I like them, but to be honest they arent in the same class as my other scopes, zeiss, leupolds, nikon. I dont even use that shotgun that has the bushnell anymore. But for about $100 its worth it, but for $100 more I love the Nikon Buckmaster

if you only have $100 then I agree with the Bushnell ....the sportsman is 1.5 - 4.5 and is fine for a shotgun. $200 is where you start seeing the better quality scopes.

The Simmons ATV scope, on sale at Sierra Trading Post (even linked through Amazon.com) for $63.96.

They're great scopes--originally $170; sold at Wal-Mart for about $120.

Check it out:

I have two of these scopes, and I am very pleased.

You could also look at buying used....if you keep your eyes open and act quick you can find good deals on used scopes.

I would never buy a used scope, unless they were giving them away. For $100.00 or less I would buy a fixed mag (4x).

Thanks All... I may have been a bit shortSIGHTED on the hundred dollar thing. I just want a good scope at a reasonable price and not settle for one because it's cheap. You all have made some good suggestions. Thanks.

I have bought several Leupold scopes used at half of what they cost new and have never had a problem. Leupold warrants their scopes whether you are the original owner or the 20th owner. There are other scope companies such as Bushnell and Sightron that have similar warranties. If you look around you can find good deals and save yourself some money. Its your money though, spend as you wish.
