RE: ATV advice
WOOHOO Take all the wheelers to the dump. BUY a good horse if it braeks down you can EAT it. There is no better trail rideing way. Allso you will never sneek up on any thing on a wheeler all you get to do is spook them to me :}
I have owned 5 wheelers will never buy a polaris agin. It seems to be an old mans ride if you babby it wash it keep it in the barn and ride it 2 times a year AFTER a good check over it will run great.I on the outher hand beat the crap out of my items and polaris did not hold up. There may be some good ones out there but my 2 where not them.The dealer said I should not be so hard on the polaris IF IF IF you take care of it it will last forever. OOOOO The reasion I had 2 POLARIS was the dealer said I got a lemmon and gave me a very good deal on a next year one. SAME junk dif year. |
RE: ATV advice
Does polaris have the best suspension? yes they do, highest ground clearance? yes they do. A real nice bike for trail riding and if thats what i was looking for in a bike polaris would be my #1 choice. But for taking chit and abuse they do not compare and you cannot even argue against that. Here is an example i have lots of buddy's who work on the oil rigs and they use quads. Never have they seen a polaris in the field for this very reason, they can't hack the rough rough stuff. For what most people put a bike through they would be more than fine but if your lookin for a bike to take on anything i suggest going to a honda, or a yammy.

RE: ATV advice
I'd have to agree with the honda or yamaha sentiments(kawasaki seems to be good also). I think that the honda is slightly more bulletproof but not quite the performer, while the yamaha is slightly better performer but not quite as bulletproof. I had my 03grizzly elk hunting w/ 2 other hunters who had polaris700's. We broke down and had to ride the scooters out in 2-3ft of snow a distance of @23 miles. When the polariss were trying to lead we made very little progress, I took the lead and went nonstop, no slowing down whatsoever, matter of fact they couldn't even keep up when I was breaking trail and they were just following. I thought at first that it was just the riders, I am fairly experienced but NOT exceptional rider. I got on theirs the next day when we were getting our elk and was not impressed w/ the polaris at all. just my experience/opinion.

RE: ATV advice
I have a Polaris 350 magnum and it is awesome. With the wench and snow plow it was only like $6000. It is shift on the fly 4 wheel drive. Which is awesome compared to the all time 4X4 because with the all time if you are on hard pavement it is very hard to turn.

RE: ATV advice
t the hell out of both my Yamahas and they keep kicking. 2 buddies on there polarises always having problems. Oh yea! by camo that way you don't have to wash it. It always looks clean. HA HA! Use mine farming, hunting, and trapping. All over northeast. I also have horses way more expensive then atvs. Daughter uses them for barrel racing.

RE: ATV advice
Liked the comment about the horses-but don't have a place to keep them and having eaten one in France years back=don't really consider them much of a delicacy.
I am set up this weekend to drive a Honda, Kwasaki and a Bombardier so will get my first taste of which direction I want to go. |

Also i can leave home for several days and don't need anybody to care for them. I don't think i really want to eat a horse anyway!!! And just think for this Polaris 350 magnum and it is awesome.
