I bought the Mueller 2x7x40 with 11 red dot clicks,$130.00 could not be happier.I have low mounts on my Kodiak ml and will change to higher rings as soon as I can.My sight picture would be better with the scope higher and it will reduce scorching from the primer blow back.

Sorry, just needed to correct some things. BTW, a good scope with a 40mm objective is all that's needed for any big game hunting I can think of in the U.S

I know I'm too late on the subject really, but I just had to throw my two cents. Pretty much flat out, my Zeiss 3-9x40 is the best scope I've ever owned. The amount of light it gathers in low light conditions is amazing. In early morning/later evening(still legal shooting hours) I can see better out of my scope than I can looking into the woods. You WON'T be disaapointed with your purchase!! I really, really wanted to put another Zeiss Conquest on my .270 WSM that I just bought, but just couldn't spend the almost 800 on the 4.5-14x44.
