RE: Gore-Tex 100% waterproof ????
I used to work in a coal mine and sometimes wore boots that were gore-tex lined. I found that if I got in a lot of muck and water and it got inside the boots they would lose their water proof capability.
My hunting boots, on the other hand, have stayed water proof for several years. I can't remember how many. Maybe I don't have enough fingers. Haven't had any of my Gore-tex hunting clothing lose it's water proof capability. |

I would try seam selaing the seams 1st. There is also a spray solution call "Revivex" that you spray on the coat after you take it out of the washer. Theyn you put the wet coat in the dryer. It really works well!

RE: Gore-Tex 100% waterproof ????
Most reputable manufacturers will replace the product if it leaks. The Gore-Tex fabric itself will not leak. Seams around zippers, pockets and belt loops are sometimes not sealed properly. My first purchase many years ago of Danner boots with Gore-Tex liners leaked around the seams on the toe. Danner replaced the two year old boots with new ones of the same model.
